'The Outlook’ is a calming piece of art - for those who love to be near the water.  
I wanted to make a really delicate image. I have such a sense of calmness when I’m near the water - it’s going to feature a lot in my work. 
 
It was designed and woven on my 12” Mirrix loom using pure wool. I used 4 fine threads of wool on this piece.  I decided to have a border top and bottom. 
Colours - gentle browns/stone for the shore line, greens, apricot and pinks for the garden, white/stone/greys for the house and gentle iris blues for the water and sky. 
 
Size : The textile image is 5.75 x 5". The wall mounted white frame is 11” h x 11.5” w x 1.25” depth (or 28 cm x 30cm x 3 cm)
 
The tapestry has been carefully hand sewn and mounted onto cotton board.  It is purposefully left without any glass over it.  
 
Care - a gentle dust of the frame occasionally.  Note:  do not place tapestries in a kitchen or bathroom.
